TP-Link recently expanded its Kasa line of home automation devices with two product announcements.
Up first is the KP200, a Wi-Fi in-wall power outlet equipped with two individually controllable sockets that enables you to control two plugged-in devices. A step-by-step wiring process for the KP200 is available in the Kasa Smart app for a worry-free installation.
The second announced product is the KP400, a Wi-Fi outdoor plug. Like the KP200, the KP400 is also equipped with two individually controllable sockets to control two plugged-in devices. However, the KP400 is designed to be used outdoors. It is IP64 rated for protection against water and dust.
Both devices are equipped with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, so a hub is not required for operation. Simply connect via Wi-Fi with an iOS or Android device to the Kasa Smart app to control, schedule, and/or create scenes for your plugged-in devices from anywhere. Voice commands for these devices are seamless, thanks to compatibility with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Microsoft Cortana.
