B&H is proud to announce the debut of an exciting new series: Show Us Your Shot. This series aims to provide filmmakers with a platform to share their work—both the finished product and how the scene was created—with our readers. Part DVD extra, part behind-the-scenes masterclass, Show Us Your Shot celebrates film, filmmakers, and the off-screen magic it takes to bring a project to life.
What to Submit
For Show Us Your Shot, what we’re looking for is a short clip accompanied by supplemental footage and/or audio commentary about the scene. We want to hear about what the challenges were in creating the shot, what made it unique or exciting to shoot, why the shot is important to the film—anything you think is important for audiences to know. The entire video—i.e., film clip, supplemental footage, and commentary—should be no more than three minutes long and follow the prescribed structure and template, which you can read about here.
How to Submit
Submitting your work is easy. Just follow the submissions guidelines outlined here and upload your finished video via Vimeo, Dropbox, or Google Drive. After your video is submitted, you’ll receive a notification letting you know we have received your entry and it is in line to be vetted by our impartial judges. You’ll also receive a notification when the review process is completed and what comes next. Easy as that.
