ZTE Announces the Axon 10 Pro is Coming to the US

Exciting news for mobile users: The Axon 10 Pro, ZTE’s highly anticipated follow-up to last year’s surprise hit the Axon 9 Pro, is finally coming to US shores. Announced earlier this year and already available in Europe and China, the Axon 10 Pro has been well received for its premium design, cutting-edge chipset, and powerful triple rear camera system that includes an eye-catching 48MP main sensor.

Though its price point might suggest that the Axon 10 Pro falls into the premium midrange category, this phone is all flagship. Thin, sleek, and featuring front-to-back quad curved glass and premium aluminum frame, the Axon 10 Pro is an objectively gorgeous handset. Its 6.47-inch edge-to-edge AMOLED display boasts excellent color and contrast. ZTE is also claiming a 92% screen-to-body ratio, which would be among the highest ever seen.

Beneath the screen, the Axon 10 Pro’s internals are second to none. It features a Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor, 256GB of memory, and either 8 or 12GB of RAM, depending on your preference. A microSD slot in onboard for additional storage up to 2TB. At 4000mAh, the battery is plenty big. It’s bolstered by Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ and Wireless Quick Charge 3.0, so you can expect fast recharge times, wireless charge support and, based on the capacity and power-saving software, all-day use.

Of all the Axon 10 Pro’s notable features, one of the most eye-catching is its camera. On paper, it appears to be quite powerful. The rear setup includes three separate cameras: a 48MP wide, 20MP ultrawide, and 8MP telephoto. The 48MP camera is a 4-in-112MP sensor that gets to 48MP using pixel interpolation, but still is an impressive sensor that should output high image quality. On the front is a 20MP selfie camera with video and Bokeh support.

The Axon 10 Pro looks to be a great option for Android enthusiasts as it runs a near-stock version of Android 9 Pie (with a promise to upgrade to Android 10 by the end of 2019). There’s no bloatware and the few customizations ZTE did add to the OS are reportedly tucked away in a separate settings menu, so you can set them and forget without impinging on your Android experience.

The Axon 10 Pro continues the recent trend of flagship phones coming in well under flagship cost. With all the features and highlights of the most cutting-edge Android devices, the Axon 10 Pro appears a strong contender for best bang for your buck. It is available now at B&H Photo.

Sounds like a great device with flagship specs for only $550. Would definitely consider this!

I agree, Brett (great name by the way). We're looking to do a hands-on review pretty soon, so hopefully I can tell if you if it lives up to the hype.
