New from HP: The x2301 Micro Thin Flat Panel Display

It used to be that if you wanted a high-tech product that stood out from the competition, you had to shell out a fortune for it. Things have changed. Today you have to offer cutting-edge products at reasonable prices if you want to get noticed. Take, for example, Hewlett-Packard’s new x2301 23-inch Micro Thin LED backlit monitor. Only 9.8mm thick, the HP x2301 nonetheless costs less than $300.

Most of the x2301’s electronics have been stuffed into the display’s translucent base in an effort to keep the display as thin as possible. The monitor has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, ideal for displaying HD content, and its VGA, DVI-D and HDMI inputs offer near-universal connectivity. The HP x2301 will be available on June 10 for $279.99.

I have lost my HDMI output from PC but VGA does not give correct aspect ratio at any selection of resolution.

What res. should I use (can select on nVidia control panel)?

Thank you.

The correct resolution is 1920x1080.
