New Point-and-Shoot-Sized Tripod from Joby

Sometimes less is more, especially if you can’t be bothered carrying a tripod, but wouldn’t mind a little support for your camera. And we do mean little. Joby’s GorillaPod Micro 250 Tripod with Mini Ball Head is so compact that it can easily stay threaded to your camera. The auto-fanning leg design keeps the micro tripod out of sight until you spread the supports.

The miniature ball head allows for 36° of movement in any direction for precise photo or video composition. The metal alloy legs can be adjusted to keep the camera stable on an uneven surface; they sport rubber foot grips to prevent slippage. Suddenly, you’re a smooth operator when it comes to pan and tilt.

Capable of holding a camera weighing up to 8.8 ounces, the Micro 250 itself weighs less than an ounce. It will be available this fall in black/blue, black/gray or black/red.
