A home-theater projector capable of full HD and 3D, too, priced at under $1,500? Those are the latest specs to beat for affordable big 3D entertainment. The Optoma Technology HD33 DLP Projector incorporates a Texas Instruments 1080p DLP chip set and the ability to create images up to 300 inches in size.

With a brightness of 1800 ANSI Lumens and contrast ratio of 4000:1, this 7.7-pound projector is ready to dominate the room.

The Optoma Technology HD33 DLP Projector represents a new entry point for enjoying 3D movies and more at home. Hook up a 3D-capable Blu-ray Disc player, gaming console, notebook or other video source to the projector’s HDMI 1.4a port, and the HD33’s emitter for 3D synchs the illusion of depth to viewers equipped with 3D glasses (sold separately) such as the Optoma Technology ZD101 DLP Link 3D Glasses.

The projector comes with a backlit remote and a full set of ports: two HDMI v1.4a inputs, VGA, component video, composite video, RS-232 and USB. The projector can be front, rear, ceiling or tabletop mounted.
