Panasonic has just announced a snazzy new point and shoot that’s sure to please. The pocket-size Lumix DMC-FH7 is only 3.75 inches wide by 2.22 inches high by 0.76 inch thick and it weighs only 0.28 pound with the battery and SD card installed.

Like other Lumix cameras, the DMC-FH7 features a genuine Leica DC Vario-Elmar 4x optical zoom lens with a 35mm equivalent focal length of 28–112mm. The lens consists of six elements in five groups. The camera also features a 5x intelligent zoom and optical image stabilization.

The Lumix DMC-FH7 is built around a 1/2.33-inch, 16.6-megapixel CCD image sensor and a 3-inch, 230,000-dot TFT touch-screen LCD. It can capture 16MP still images and HD video. The touch-screen display offers Speedy Touch Operation combined with Sonic Speed Auto Focus, touch AF tracking, a touch shutter and more. You can add playful in-camera image stamps to your shots, such as hearts and stars, or access an automatic Beauty Retouch function. A Lumix Image Uploader makes it simple to share images on websites such as Facebook and YouTube.
