In the box are the Nomad 7 Solar Panel, Guide 10 Battery Pack, Ultra Charge Solar Cord, 12V cigarette adapter and a four-pack of AA rechargeable batteries.
The Guide 10 Adventure Kit recharges cell phones, too, via a built-in USB (2.5 watts; 5 volts) output. And there’s a built-in LED flashlight that supplies illumination for some 20 hours per charge.
The Nomad 7 Solar Panel uses 7 watt mono-crystalline solar technology. The panel weighs 0.8 lb. Its dimensions when folded are 6 x 9 x 1 inches; unfolded, 19 x 9 x 0.1 inches. In optimal sunshine, the battery pack can be charged in about 1.5 hours, though charging time can take two to four times longer in less favorable weather conditions, according to the company.

The Solar e Charger from Wagan Tech is a portable power pack that features dual solar panels and an internal battery. The unit folds in half, to maximize the portability and to protect the solar panels when not in use. A magnetic closure holds the case closed. For ease of use, the internal battery can be charged using the solar panels or with the included 110VAC house or 12VDC car/vehicle charging adapters.
