As of August, 2013, the following DSLR lenses are eligible for this service: 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM (Art), 30mm f/1.4 DC HSM (Art), 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM (Art), 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM (Contemporary), 120-300mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM (Sports). The eligible mirrorless camera lenses are all from the Art series: 19mm f/2.8 DN, 30mm f/2.8 DN, 60mm f/2.8 DN. Lenses that were never produced in a certain mount cannot be converted to that mount. For example the 120-300mm f/2.8, which was not made for Sony or Pentax mounts, cannot be converted to Sony or Pentax. All lenses that undergo the mount conversion will be covered by a 6-month warranty following the update.
Fees for theses conversions range from $80-250, depending on the lens, and shipping fees also apply. Lenses must be sent to Sigma's New York facility where they will then be shipped to the Sigma factory in Japan.
Also, Sigma has announced that they will be extending the warranty period on all of their photography products purchased from authorized Sigma dealers after July 1, 2013, to four years. Previously, warranty periods varied by product, and this enhanced protection is designed to offer consistency and improved customer service. This extended warranty applies to all U.S.A. products, including flashes, lenses, and cameras.
