Lexar continues to offer impressive high-performance memory cards and related products destined for the kit bags of professional wedding photographers and videographers whose prime directive is to capture the fleeting moments of a couple's most memorable day.

The recently introduced Professional 600x series of SDHC and SDXC memory cards utilizes UHS-I technology for a 600x speed rating with minimum guaranteed read/transfer speeds of 90 MB/s. They are Class 10 cards with write speeds of up to 45 MB/s and are ideal for both still photography and HD videos. Backed by free technical support and a limited lifetime warranty, they are compatible with Image Rescue® 4 software, which is available via download and enables you to recover the majority of lost or accidentally deleted photo and video files, even if the card has been corrupted.

The 600x series is available in a variety of sizes. SDHC cards offer 16GB and 32GB of storage and SDXC cards are the larger 64GB, 128GB and 256GB varieties. The massive 256GB SDXC card is great for filmmakers and ideal to use in the second memory card slot of your Canon 5D Mark III or Nikon D800 so that you don’t have to continuously insert new cards.

For cameras that use CompactFlash memory cards, Lexar offers the 1000x UDMA CompactFlash Professional Memory Cards. With storage capabilities of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB, these cards are designed for professional still shooting and Full HD video capture, and with UDMA 7 technology, provide the necessary speed for these endeavors. For still-image capture, the 16GB card provides minimum guaranteed read/transfer speeds of 150 MB/s and write speeds of 95 MB/s while the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB cards offer minimum guaranteed read speeds of 150 MB/s, with write speeds of 145 MB/s. The CF card supports Video Performance Guarantee (VPG-20) specification for capturing professional-quality, high frame rate, Full HD movies.

When paired with Lexar's Professional USB 3.0 Dual-Slot Reader, which supports both UDMA7 and UHS-1, the card offers particularly fast file transfer rates, accelerating your workflow. As with the SD cards, Lexar offers free technical support and a limited lifetime warranty on their CompactFlash cards and the free download of Image Rescue® 4 software is there if you need it. This reader includes a USB 3.0 cable and is compatible with both Mac and PC computers. Additionally, it provides an LED to indicate when transfer is complete, and a snap-shut top for protection when not in use.

Lexar now also produces a XQD Professional 1100x Memory Cards at 32GB and 64GB capacities. XQD cards, designed for HD capture and resilient in the face of water, shock and extreme temperatures, use the PCI Express data transfer interface to reach minimum read/transfer speeds of 168 MB/s and write speeds of 155 MB/s. Hand-in-hand with the XQD cards is the Professional USB 3.0 XQD Memory Card Reader, which transfers data from your XQD card to your computer. Designed to transfer the card’s RAW, HD and 3D video files, this reader provides data transfer speed of up to 500 MB/s.
