More Utility with the Manfrotto 190 More Tripod

The Manfrotto 190 More 3-Section Aluminum Tripod is a special, upgraded version of the 190XPROB tripod, and it includes several improvements to make this a more robust offering from Manfrotto while keeping with the stylish detailing for which Manfrotto is well known. Featuring the same rugged components and high level of functionality as the rest of the 190 tripod system, these enhancements serve only to improve upon an already solid foundation.

At the core of the 190 More tripod is a cast-aluminum chassis, aluminum legs and aluminum leg locks. These rugged components ensure strength and stability while working under strenuous conditions and give greater durability to the tripod. With a maximum load capacity of 11 pounds (5 kg), this tripod is easily capable of holding even the largest DSLRs or consumer camcorders. For a greater range of shooting angles, the center column is able to tilt horizontally 90° without having to disassemble the column or remove the tripod head. Once you have fully extended the column, you can essentially separate it from the main chassis and rotate it down horizontally, allowing you to pan about scenes from heights as low as 3.3 inches (8.5 cm) from the ground. In regard to the legs themselves, they feature aluminum locks that keep the sections secure and moving freely, and they can be positioned at four angles. They support a very quick setup and disassembly process that makes for a smooth, streamlined workflow.

The most prevalent difference between the two tripods is that the 190 More version extends a full 7.1 inches (18 cm) taller than the 190XPROB—bringing it to a maximum height of 64.5 inches (164 cm), or 55.1 inches (140 cm) without the center column extended. This gives you greater versatility when shooting, while maintaining the same minimum height of 3.3 inches (8.5 cm). The 190 More also integrates a visual distinction and highlights the unique technical aspects of this tripod system in red, including the horizontal center column. Another design improvement over other 190-series tripods is the well-integrated carry strap that is hitched at both the chassis and onto one leg. This configuration allows you to keep the strap attached to the tripod during use, as opposed to having it tie up the legs.

The 190 More is, as the name suggests, more versatile than the other 190 aluminum tripods. The additional height and efficiency afforded by the enhanced design create a more stylish product with improved capabilities, which is still at least as rugged and durable as its predecessors.
