Offering enhanced control and higher resolution, the T6s is a compact and versatile DSLR, characterized by the first-for-a-Rebel top LCD panel, Quick Control Dial, and horizontal level gauge for faster and more intuitive handling. These design updates pair with a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor and DIGIC 6 image processor to realize up to 5 fps continuous shooting, expandable sensitivity to ISO 25600, and full HD 1080p/30 video recording.
Benefitting the imaging capabilities is a 19-point all cross-type AF system, for accurate focusing in fast-paced and mixed lighting situations. When recording movies or working in live view, Hybrid CMOS AF III is used and pairs both phase- and contrast-detection focusing methods for improved precision, speed, and subject tracking capabilities. The 3.0" 1.04m-dot Clear View II touchscreen LCD is available for live view shooting and image review, and incorporates a vari-angle design to benefit working from high and low angles. Additionally, built-in Wi-Fi also supports wireless image transferring and remote camera control from iOS and Android mobile devices.
The Rebel T6s is available as a body only or can be bundled with the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens, a versatile wide-to-tele zoom—a 28.8-216mm equivalent focal-length range—featuring a quiet and smooth STM stepping AF motor, and incorporating an Optical Image Stabilizer to minimize the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld shooting.
