CES 2018: Canon Unleashes PIXMA G4210 MegaTank Printer

At-home inkjet printing is now the simplest and most affordable it has ever been, in part to the development of cartridge-free systems like Canon's MegaTank, which Canon has seen fit to upgrade this year at CES with the release of the PIXMA G4210 MegaTank All-in-One Printer. This model features all the abilities and functions you would expect from a capable inkjet printer, as well as scanning, copying, and faxing, but its real calling card is that it can produce an astounding 6,000 black pages or 7,000 color pages from a standard set of ink bottles. On top of this, it comes with a full ink set, as well as two bonus black ink bottles, that provide users with the ability to print thousands of pages right after opening the box, without any worry of needing spare cartridges or refills anytime soon.

This model isn't just for everyday documents though, because it features a high resolution of 4800 x 2400 dpi and the ability to work with photos, including the production of borderless images up to 8.5 x 11" in size. The G4210 is well connected, with USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi built in, so you can easily set it up in your home. When using Wi-Fi, wireless printing is supported from mobile devices using the Canon PRINT app, Google Cloud Print, Apple AirPrint, and more. Additionally, the G4210 is equipped with a 20-sheet automatic document feeder that will handle multi-page documents for scanning, copying, and faxing.

What do you think of Canon's MegaTank Ink system? Let us know in the Comments section, below.

Does the G4210 have the capability to print directly on CD/DVD media similar to the MG5320?  If no, what receint Canon printer is there which has this capability?, preferably with the MegaTank capability?

Hi Arthur,

There isn't yet a MegaTank model with this capability, but if you were looking for higher quality I would recommend the PIXMA PRO-100.
