CP+ 2015: The iPad- and iPhone-Controlled Broncolor Siros 800S System

0Share

Best known for its high-end, powerful, extremely versatile, and fast studio power packs and heads, such as the Scoro System, Broncolor is ready to ship some new, accessible monobloc strobes that are compact and easy to use. Stylish with a minimalist design, the new Siros 800S strobes were on display at the CP Plus Expo and are said to start shipping this month. They feature built-in Wi-Fi for changing settings via an iOS app. Super easy to read and use to make adjustments, the app features the same minimalist design. An on-camera radio frequency transmitter sends synch, and can control settings remotely, but Wi-Fi and the app make for a clear way to see all changes and keep track of your lighting setup. Also, it makes it possible for an assistant using the app on an iPad or iPhone to make changes remotely, away from the camera. Siros strobes will come in both 800 and 400 watt-second versions, and they will also be available as a kit of two, which will include the RFS 2.1 transmitter, stands, umbrella or softboxes, and cases.
