Voigtländer has announced two new additions to its Vintage Line of M-mount (VM), manual focus lenses. Optimized to perform equally well with film and digital cameras, the new lenses are compact in size, extremely retro in appearance, and feature solid, all-metal construction.
The first new lens is the ultra-wide Voigtländer Color-Skopar 21mm f/3.5 Aspherical Vintage Line VM, which contains 9 elements in 8 groups, has an AoV of 91.2°, aspheric lens surfaces, 39mm filter threads, and a 10-blade aperture for buttery bokeh.
Slightly less wide is the Voigtländer 35mm f/2 Ultron Aspherical Vintage Line VM, which features a 62.5° AoV, 8 elements in 5 groups, and like the new 21mm f/3.5 Color-Skopar, aspheric lens surfaces, 39mm filter threads, and a 10-blade aperture for buttery bokeh.
To help improve the optical performance of these new lenses, Voigtländer has also introduced the LH-11 and LH-12 lens shades, which are dedicated for use for the 21mm and 35mm lenses.
