Profoto Releases Air Remote TTL-S for Sony Cameras

0Share

Having given Canon and Nikon the benefits of full TTL and HSS capability with the D2, B1, and B2 flashes, Profoto now makes this exciting technology available to Sony users with the introduction of the Air Remote TTL-S. This gives professional and serious photographers with Sony’s a7 II, a7R II, and a7S II cameras access to Profoto’s myriad lights and light-shapers, freeing them up from exposure calculation to concentrate on creativity.

Operating on the 2.4 GHz frequency, the Air Remote TTL-S has eight discrete channels and three groups for controlling a virtually unlimited number of Profoto TTL-capable units. Each channel has a power ratio adjustment of +/- 2 stops in TTL with a wireless range of 330' or, if you’d rather shoot on manual, you have adjustments of +/- 9 stops and a wireless range of 1,000'. Normal sync speed is up to 1/250-second but High Speed Sync (HSS) is supported with shutter speeds as short as 1/8000-second for freezing action, managing flash output in full daylight, or creative use of wide apertures. All functions are accessible via simple, intuitive push-button operation and displayed on a highly readable LCD Screen

The Air Remote TTL-S is powered by two AAA batteries and gets approximately 30 hours of constant run time. Besides the D2, B1, and B2, the Air TTL-S will trigger all Profoto power packs and monolights with Air technology, but without the TTL feature.
