Tamron just announced the 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD Lens. This fast-aperture, ultra-wide zoom lens is designed for FUJILFILM X-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras. The new lens features a 16.5-30mm equivalent focal length, and has a fast, constant f/2.8 maximum aperture while keeping a relatively lightweight and compact form factor. The current Sony E model has been an excellent choice for travel and landscapes so FUJIFILM shooters who have been interested in this lens should be happy to see it finally on its way.
The details of the FUJIFILM version remain very similar to the current model. The lens has a fast f/2.8 aperture for control over depth of field and operation in low-light environments. It’ll focus as close as 5.9” for a 0.25x magnification and features the fast, silent RXD autofocus motor. As for size it is a svelte 2.9” in diameter with a 3.4” length and a weight of just 11.8 oz.
