2Share

Tamron is ready for Photo Plus 2019 with three new lenses for full-frame Sony mirrorless cameras: a 20mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2, 24mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2, and 35mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 lens. The set serves as an accessible means for Sony photographers looking to build a collection of wide-angle primes. All three lenses are compact and lightweight, guaranteeing they won’t take up too much space in your bag.

The new lenses also share the ability to get impressively close to your subject, with minimum focusing distances of less than six inches and magnification ratio up to 1:2. Additionally, they include a fast and quiet OSD stepping motor and are compatible with many of the focusing features of Sony cameras including Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF.

Finally, the trio also shares moisture-resistant construction, as well as a fluorine coating for extra protection so you can shoot with confidence outdoors. All three lenses have a 67mm filter thread, making it easier to share and swap filters among them.

Are you a fan of wide angle primes? What would you use the new Tamron lenses for? Let us know in the Comments section, below.

I think this is a perfect price point for a lens. I plan to get the 20mm for landscapes and macro. It will pair well with my 90mm macro 1:1 from Tamron!

For the $349 price tag I’m willing to try the 20mm for video work. I have the 28-75mm and very satisfied with video and photo performance. It won’t replace my 16-35mm g master but a good addition of a light lens
