Newly announced, from Pentax, is the Prestige Edition of its popular K-3 DSLR. This edition of the K-3 comes in a Gunmetal finish, adding to the previously available standard Black body and Premium Silver Edition. The Prestige Edition camera body is paired with a Gunmetal D-BG5 battery grip and dedicated strap that are only available with this bundle.
The K-3 features a 24.35MP APS-C CMOS sensor and a PRIME III image processor to deliver high-resolution images as well as full HD 1080p video. The sensor and processor also offer low-noise images and videos with a sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200, and a maximum continuous shooting speed of 8.3 frames per second.
Setting the K-3 apart from other DSLRs is its unique selectable anti-aliasing filter, which allows you to turn the AA filter on or off, depending on your needs and preferences in regard to sharpness versus moiré protection.
Other notable features are the weatherproof and cold-proof magnesium-alloy body, the 27-point SAFOX11 autofocus system, Real Time Scene Analysis System, and in-camera Shake Reduction.
