Documenting the Human Experience with Travis Emery Hackett

0Share

In this B&H Event Space video, New York City-based documentary photographer Travis Emery Hackett presents his images and talks about making pictures with a view to shared human experience. Schooled as a musician, actor, and performer, Hackett is a storyteller with his camera, finding his purpose in the act of making pictures. Working primarily with natural and available light, and inspired by early 20th Century photographic processes, Hackett shoots in both digital and analog formats, making portraits that champion real people, in real settings. Over the course of this video, he shares his own story while also telling the stories of his subjects, and describing the connections made in the process.
