Image Transfers and Emulsion Lifts were made popular by the Polaroid company in the 1980’s and '90’s. These techniques changed the world of photography. Photographers found new life for their imagery and took to reinventing their slides to become painterly one-of-a-kind gems. We all ran out to buy Day Lab printers, stock up on slide film, and hoarded all sorts of fine art printing papers. This workshop shows you how to use new materials and techniques to get similar results.
This workshop is divided into two segments, starting with the Faux Image Transfer technique. With examples and demonstration, you are guided through the process, and can enjoy making your own sample. The second part of the program includes a presentation on the Faux Emulsion Lift Transfer technique.
