This USB bus-powered device features a grid of sixteen RGB-illuminated velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads with four distinct banks for a total of 64 selectable sounds. Trigger your own samples or get started using the 8GB of included drum kits, instruments, and samples from M-Audio and partners. In addition to the drum pads, the controller also has 12 assignable controls, including four faders and four rotary knobs for playing virtual instruments, adjusting effect parameters, and other plug-in controls within your DAW of choice.
You can also build complex progressions using the device’s onboard 64-step sequencer, either in stand-alone mode or to control external hardware through the 5-pin MIDI connection. A large display provides visual feedback when selecting drum kits, assigning samples, and programming the step sequencer. Integrated transport, loop, and, tempo controls further extend your control over the DAW, and Mackie Control and HUI protocol support allow the device to integrate with legacy hardware.
