NAMM 2015: The New Pocket Operator Synths from Teenage Engineering

2Share

Building upon the success of the OP-1 Portable Synthesizer, Teenage Engineering is releasing three low-cost machines called Pocket Operators. Small enough to fit in your pocket, each operator focuses on different aspects of music production. The PO-12 Rhythm is a drum synthesizer and sequencer offering synthesized drum sounds with 16 patterns of playback and 16 punch-in effects. The PO-14 Sub is a bassline synthesizer and sequencer featuring real synthesis engines, 16 punch-in styles and 16 punch-in effects, while the PO-16 Factory melody synthesizer and sequencer features real synthesis engines, an advanced arpeggio generator, and 16 punch-in effects. All effects and pitch controls can be recorded into and played back from the sequencers and all units feature parameter locks, a built-in speaker, 3.5mm audio input and output, jam sync, LCD screen, a folding stand, and a watch + alarm clock. The Pocket Operators will run up to 30 hours on two AAA batteries.
