One of several innovations brought about by the Panasonic Varicam line lives inside the sensor. The fact that this sensor can operate at not one, but two native ISO values (800 and 5000), means reduced noise and images with higher dynamic range in low-light scenarios, without sacrificing standard performance in more typical situations. In this video, cinematographer Charles Papert explains how this feature can be leveraged for achieving natural-looking images in both low-light and bright situations. We hope you enjoy the video, and invite you to view the wide selection of other instructional and informative videos at BandH.com.
