Atlona Offers Comprehensive Video and Audio-Integration Solutions


Home theater systems, whole-house audio systems and their corporate equivalents are big business these days. Adapters and converters allow you to attach one type of connector to another or to convert one signal type to another. This is necessary when you want to feed, say, a VGA signal into an HDMI input, or to convert an NTSC signal to PAL.

Atlona’s converters and adapters run the gamut, allowing just about any connectivity you could imagine. Adapters for all popular connectors are offered, including HDMI and DVI, DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort, VGA and Component, BNC and RCA. Switches are used to select one signal for transmission or viewing from many. For example, a newsroom might be receiving several live video feeds and needs to switch between them as the news report progresses from story to story. Atlona makes switches for HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, VGA, RGBHV, Component video, S-Video, composite, BNC and 3G/HD/SD SDI video and even makes KVM, or Keyboard-Video-Mouse switches.

Amplifiers are used to boost signal strength, either to compensate for signal loss or to match the signal level to meet the requirements of specific equipment. Splitters are used to feed one signal to two or more pieces of equipment while maintaining signal strength and avoiding any degradation.
