Canon EOS C300 Mark II 4K Cinema Camera

Internal 4K recording and 4K RAW output are just two highlights of the Canon EOS C300 Mark II Cinema Camera. Improving upon the original C300, the Mark II features a re-designed Super35 CMOS sensor with up to 15 stops of dynamic range, dual DIGIC DV5 image processors, dual CFast slots, and a single SD media card slot. These updates allow for 4K internal recording to CFast media cards, in addition to the 4K raw output, and elevate the Mark II to the level of a true 4K cinema camera. In addition to the 4K raw output, Canon includes a new 10-bit Log 2 Gamma, for improved color correction in post production. Canon has incorporated user suggestions to make improvements throughout the camera’s feature set,  increasing  sensitivity for improved low-light shooting, expanding AF face detection (with Canon Lenses), improving Dual Pixel AF, and adding additional 2K/HD shooting modes.

This version of the Mark II incorporates a Canon EF mount that allows you to use virtually any EF-mount lens, including the Canon CN-E series of lenses. As with the original C300, the Mark II is also available with a PL mount. Although the Mark II sports slightly different dimensions from the original, optional support rigs are available to improve the camera’s handheld shooting ergonomics, including rigs from Zacuto, which bestow ENG-style balance to the camera. So, if you are diving into the pool of high-end 4K acquisition, make a big splash with Canon’s C300 Mark II.
