In the following video, FOR.A America Vice President Jay Shinn gives B&H Photo’s Steven Gladstone a quick overview of the company’s new FT-ONE-S, a smaller and more cost-effective version of the FT-ONE high-speed 4K camera. Like its big brother, the FT-ONE-S features a Super-35mm-sized sensor that supports 4K resolution video, a PL lens mount, and a global shutter, but only shoots up to 360 fps rather than the 860 fps of the FT-ONE. Video is recorded to an included base station that is connected to the camera via SMPTE fiber optic cable to allow for runs of more than 3,000', making the camera great for stadium and sporting applications. Additional features mentioned by Jay Shinn include the camera’s smaller form factor and new dust- and weather-resistant body, for use in more remote locations.
