In the following video, Steven Gladstone, from B&H Photo, meets up with JVC's Craig Yanagi for a hands-on look at the GY-LS300 4KCAM S35mm Camcorder. First announced at the tail end of 2014, the GY-LS300 is equipped with a 4K Super 35mm CMOS sensor that delivers UHD video up to 30p and 4:2:2 Full HD up to 60p.

Craig Yanagi points out the GY-LS300 4KCAM S35mm Camcorder’s Micro Four Thirds lens mount that gives shooters the ability to use a wide range of lenses, from inexpensive DSLR lenses to professional cinema lenses, when paired with the appropriate third-party adapter. He also showcases the Variable Scan Mapping feature that lets you scale the image to maintain the native angle of view of the native MFT lens, Super 16mm lenses, or other lenses that don’t cover the full Super 35mm image sensor. Other professional features noted in the video include XLR audio inputs, built-in ND filers, and dual SD card slots.
