Unveiled at NAB, the Sony HDC-4300 is the world’s first camera to use three 2/3-inch 4K image sensors, capable of delivering 4K and Full HD video for sport and live-event broadcast. The camera has the familiar B4-lens mount and is compatible with the same control surfaces as Sony’s HDC-200 series cameras. With the standard configuration, the HDC-4300 is capable of Full HD video output and up to 3x slow motion, with optional software upgrade packages available to take advantage of the camera’s 4K capabilities, as well as Full HD frame rates up to 479.52 fps to produce stunning replays and specialty program effects.
Continuing the trend of 4K, Sony has also been showing its BVM-X300 4K OLED 30" production monitor, which sports a new panel and monitor design that combines HDR and wide color gamut technologies designed for the high-end color grading and on-set monitoring.
