Padcaster has released several new products: the Parrot™ Teleprompter Kit, a Fluid Head Tripod/Monopod, and the Verse-X. The Parrot™ Teleprompter V2 Kit is a lightweight arrangement that features an ABS plastic hood and 70/30 beam splitter. Thirteen included step-down rings, 37, 40.5, 43, 46, 49, 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72, 77, and 82mm—allow the hood to be mounted onto most threaded lenses. A spring-loaded tray secures your smartphone. You can control your smartphone, using Padcaster's free Parrot app, with included Bluetooth remote. The remote can also be used to control media apps, such as music players. An included glass cleaning kit is a welcome addition, as are the front and rear covers that protect the beam splitter glass during storage and travel.
The Padcaster Fluid Head Tripod/Monopod system is a portable compact solution that is easy to take with you, while stable enough to support loads up to 13.2 pounds. It folds to 22" for storage and transport in its weatherproof carry bag, and with its center column, can extend to 71" tall. The legs feature the classic three-position spreaderless design, and you can remove the center column from the tripod and mount it directly on one of the legs, creating a monopod with a fluid video head.
The Verse-X Mobile Media Kit is an all-inclusive system for shooting with all smartphones, as well as tablets up to 5.3" wide. It includes a mini tripod, well suited for setting up on tables or handholding. The mini tripod supports the Verse Grip, which clamps your device, and supports the included mini mic. This setup lets you to go from steady shooting to handheld within seconds, perfect for the on-the-go content creator.
