Combining a broadcast-compatible camera and 30x optical zoom lens in a PTZ housing is no easy feat, but Panasonic’s AW-HE40SK pulls it off without a hitch. The camera features a 1/2.3" Full HD MOS sensor and outputs Full 1080p HD Video over HD-SDI, while allowing you to view a 640 x 480 version of your video over Ethernet. In addition, the camera and lens are POE+ powered, freeing you from relying on an AC power outlet and allowing you to set up the camera almost anywhere you can run an Ethernet cable.
Enabled with Hybrid 2D/3D Digital Noise Reduction for clear image capture under a wide variety of conditions, the camera also features Dynamic Range Stretch and High Dynamic Range, so you can capture images with a high contrast ratio and still see an image with detail in the highlights and shadow areas. With 100 preset positions, 30x optical zoom range, and fast pan/tilt speed, the camera is suitable for use in the most demanding of applications, even large-venue or house-of-worship coverage.
