1Share

Gimbals continue to evolve as tools for capturing the shot, and Feiyutech is developing the devices' DNA with three new gimbals, at Photokina 2018. The SPG2, AK2000, and AK4000 support cameras and gear that span a range from smartphone through mirrorless and DSLR. The SPG2 is designed for cell phones, and is designed to let you shoot with your smartphone in either landscape or vertical orientation.

Moving up in load capacity and sophistication is the AK2000, which supports up to 6 pounds of camera and features 360 degrees of rotation in all three axes and a 45-degree support arm that makes it easier to see your camera's rear LCD screen. With a run time of 12 hours, you can shoot all day without worrying about running out of power, and in addition to the usual joystick, the AK2000 incorporates an OLED touchscreen for menu and control. An optional follow focus accessory is available to provide you with precise focus control over your manual focus lens.

The AK4000 expands the boundaries, supporting up to 8.8 pounds of camera without sacrificing run time, which is still 12 hours. Maintaining the angled support arm and the OLED touchscreen, the AK4000 features an indexed, sliding quick-release plate, making balancing and rebalancing your camera simpler and faster.
