I recently purchased this unit and while the potential is great, we have struggled to reliably transfer files from our iMac5Ks to this unit. We get various errors related to file name length and -50. We have not had these problems with Drobos which this unit is intended to replace. Lots of research invested and still no solution which doesn't require work arounds.
I am sorry to hear of the issues you are encountering. It sounds as if you may have received a defective unit. I would recommend contacting our Customer Service to set up a return or exchange on the drive. They can be reached by phone at 1-800-221-5743 or 1-212-239-7765 or email at [email protected].
