Accessories such as boompoles and gear bags may not be the coolest things showcased at NAB, but every pro knows they are one of the most integral parts of a kit, playing the all-too-important supporting role for pricey microphones and wireless systems. In this video, Rob Rives shows the the OD-11 from Teenage Engineering, a Wi-Fi-enabled wireless speaker that supports streaming from most computers and portable devices, and that is specifically intended for cloud-based music listening. The OD-11speaker features a two-way omnidirectional design that allows the sound to be dispersed evenly throughout your acoustic space. It offers full touchscreen integration when used with an iPad or a multi-touch Windows 8 computer. Designed for a wide array of live sound mixing and studio applications, the system is equipped with 32 recallable mic preamps, 16 XLR line-level mix outputs, and can act as FireWire 800 audio interface for recording directly to your computer. In this video, Rob Rives shows us four different portable keyboards that make great starter keyboards for kids. Rives takes a look at the Casio SA-76 and CTK-6200, the Yamaha EZ-220, and the Yamaha PSRE443, the L3C attachable stand, and their requisite AC power adapter for entry-level keyboards, and the AC power adapter for keyboards and drums.
