We’re taking a quick listen to the Sequential Prophet X to give you an idea of what this samples + synthesis-performance keyboard offers. With 8-, 16-, or 32-voice modes to choose from, and a semi-weighted keyboard that responds to velocity and aftertouch, the 61-key Prophet X or 76-key Prophet XL is ready for the stage and the studio. It combines two high-res digital oscillators with two stereo samples per voice from its onboard 150GB library, to deliver a powerful and versatile library of voices ranging from traditional-sounding instruments, to electronic textures, and potent combinations of both. Vintage-style analog filters, a flexible modulation matrix, and an impressive array of effects add to the vast array of sound-sculpting possibilities.

In the following video, Andrew Eisele demonstrates the Moog DFAM – Drummer From Another Mother, a semi-modular analog percussion synthesizer. Listen to the various oscillators and white noise generator blended and processed through the classic Moog ladder transistor filter. The onboard eight-step sequencer generates patterns of variable pitch and velocity.  Marvel at the 24-point patchbay with the ability to cross-modulate multiple sources or interface with additional gear, such as the Mother 32 or other Eurorack modules.
