In this demo, we’re listening to the Arturia MiniBurte 2S, a semi-modular monophonic analog synthesizer with a 48-point patch bay and full Eurorack compatibility. The 2S features an advanced onboard three-track sequencer and replaces a traditional keyboard with 16 velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads. Its analog sound engine features two independent oscillators with waveform mixing and a Steiner-Parker multimode filter along with Brute Factor overdrive. Hands-on controls allow you to sculpt sounds in real time, as you’ll hear in many of the following arpeggios, bass sounds, and leads. In the following video, Andrew Eisele demonstrates the Moog DFAM – Drummer From Another Mother, a semi-modular analog percussion synthesizer. Listen to the various oscillators and white noise generator blended and processed through the classic Moog ladder transistor filter. The onboard eight-step sequencer generates patterns of variable pitch and velocity.  Marvel at the 24-point patchbay with the ability to cross-modulate multiple sources or interface with additional gear, such as the Mother 32 or other Eurorack modules. This Quick Listen will give you a sample of sounds created with the Behringer Model D Analog Sytnh. Based on the authentic synthesizer structure and ladder-style filter design found in iconic and legendary synths of the 1970s, the Behringer Model D is a three-oscillator analog synthesizer with a pure analog signal path and a dedicated and fully analog triangle/square wave LFO. The instrument uses matched transistors and JFETs, precision 0.1% thin-film resistors, and polyphenylene-sulfide capacitors, which allow for flexible sound-shaping capabilities, resulting in super-fat basses and lead tones, mind-bending effects, and progressive organ sounds. Our experts, “AB” Belinfanti and Andrew Eisele, from B&H, discuss the basics of modular synths, their origins, components, and how you can integrate them into your workflow. Eisele also gives a short performance to showcase some of the sounds that can be generated by these synthesizers. We hope you enjoy the video, and invite you to view the wide selection of other instructional and informative videos at BandH.com.
