Good lightweight tripod

By Bryan

Comments about Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod:

This tripod is well-made, and a good compromise for size, low weight, stability, and load capacity. I bought this tripod primarily because of the flip locks, which work well and, for my purposes, are a big improvement.over the twist locks on my old tripod. The instructions could be better - allow some time to decipher them to learn the features before you need to set it up in a hurry.

The Closest I've found to the Perfect Tripod

Comments about Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod:

I've tried a few other sets of carbon legs and been disappointed in them in one way or another. This has the height and the robustness... Although the thinnest section of the tripod is pretty thin and I do wish it was somehow just a tad more compact. But you can't have it all. Great tripod at a very reasonable price.

Comments about Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod:

I have been handling cameras from TLR to SLR for 33yrs now. When I started this profession from the Navy, I used to hand hold cameras for long exposure. As one grows older there are always shakes when picturing long exposure. This 190pro carbon manfrotto is an awesome tool for long exposure and also I carry it in my carryon bag during travel. Such a relief. All those who doubt their hands for not being steady while taking picture, this is the best solution.

I use this for real estate photography interior/exterior. This is an excellent tripod when combined with a Manfrotto geared head. Lightweight, sturdy and easy to move through tight spaces.

Impressed,highly recomended

Comments about Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod:

Didn't use a tripod that much, now that I'm in my mid seventies I'm not quite as steady as I once was. This unit is sturdy and lite, strap it on my back pack throw in a few lens and I'm good to go. I use it mostly with my D7100 and Sigma 50-150 or Sigma 150-600,tripod works great, easy to use and did I mention it's sturdy and lite.

Comments about Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod:

I was a bit worried as I did not purchase as a kit with a head. I wanted the 327RC Pro Joystick Ball Head which was a step up and a bit heaver. Well, zero problem  with my Fuji and heavy 50-140mm f2.8 zoom. It is like this was all made foreach other.

Well made tripod

Comments about Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod:

Solid as a rock. Reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the central collar which pivots the sliding mount is plastic. Time will tell if it is durable. If it turns out to brake or wear out, the tripod will be caput. Adjustment levers are crucial for easy operation. Adjust just tight enough to prevent any telescoping .. otherwise levers are hard to move to open or tighten.

I was upgrading from an aluminum tripod to carbon fiber and went with this model after research and positive reviews I chose this one. Used it for the first time last weekend on a windy beach in Florida. Exceeded expectations.

BEST TRIPOD EVER OWNED

By Jvasconcelos

from Mineola, NY

Comments about Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod:

I have owned a good number of tripods over the years, L(manufacturer)... , G(manufacturer)..., F(manufacturer)... Once again had to come back to Manfrotto.
Search criteria: Light, easy to transport (I do a good amount of travelling) but most importantly extremely steady and of course best quality for the money.
After spending many hours researching tripods the MT190CXPRO4 was by far the clear winner. The amount of adjustments of this unit are virtually endless, it has with the one of the widest stances you can achieve in any tripod and the 90° Column and Easy Link can take your creativity to a all new level, make photography projects a breeze specially when paired with MHXPRO-BHQ6 XPRO Ball Head.
The MT190CXPRO4 with without a doubt a huge winner and has made a huge difference on my night, long exposure photography. The lightweight of the highest quality Carbon is just an added PLUS.
If you're looking for a good rig at an great price look no further.

Great Tripod

Comments about Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod:

I do a lot of landscape photography, waterfalls etc and storm photos, These types of photos require to me to sometimes hike some distance to gain good vantage points for the best photos and having a good tripod for long exposures, Having the Manfrotto Carbon Fiber tripod has made the hiking miles so much easier. It is loads lighter than my previous aluminum tripods and it is strong and sturdy and easy to set up and fold down. It is a little more expensive, but having the right tool for the job is essential. Two thumbs up!

Very sturdy, secure tripod.

By CAC

Comments about Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod:

I use it with my 70-200 lens which weighs, with body, 5.3 pounds. The tripod is fantastic with ground levels photos using the center column which extends up then out (horizontal).
I have no problem using on a windy day and feel secure that my camera will not fall.
Locking legs are easy to use/adjust.
Super fast set up!
I also bought the "Hakuba PSTC 100 Medium Pro Series Tripod Case" to carry as it fits perfect.

Comments about Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod:

Solidly built, and fits in my duffel bag if I take the head off. Great for traveling. Not quite as light as I expected (probably due to the head still being heavy) but more solid and durable than my dent-prone aluminum tripods. The lower part of the legs is a bit bulky.

Comments about Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod:

I use this tripod to carry a Canon XA-10. The previous version was slightly smaller and the column collar section broke apart so this was the replacement.

A bit heavier than the earlier version and slightly longer, which might present some suitcase packing challenges (I carry a LOT of stuff) but overall it feels just that bit sturdier and the column neck area is definitely more sturdy.
