Comments about DAM Useful Publishing DVD: The DAM Book Guide to Organizing your Photos with Lightroom 5:
First let me say that I'm a semi-pro photographer with a Lightroom catalog that recently reached 200,000+ photos. I've looked at hundreds of tutorials and read tons of books and blogs over the years. I've learned a lot, but have had to sift through TONS of extraneous info and techniques. I've bought other course and tutorials and pretty thought I'd seen everything. When I saw some samples of Peter's, I noticed that a 7 minute video of his had distilled more "best practices" than hours of other instructions combined. Let's just say this is FILLED with "aha" moments.
I have to say that although I've used Lightroom for years, there were so many basic features I didn't understand and basic concepts I didn't grasp. Peter is a GREAT teacher who "been there, done that".
My tagging was kind of a mess. I didn't even really get to the stars because I couldn't decide on a system to stick with. I feel like my looking is over. And he really makes you understand how to get the most value out of your collection whether your a hobbyist or pro. We've all been there wasting time finding pictures we want, or doing busy work deleting crummy shots and on and on with non productive busy work. You really see how to give your collection value in the way you tag, sort and creatively make up your collections. This can only come from a man whose possessed with making the whole process a creative and efficient one. You will wonder what you would have done without this knowledge. Look no further. : >
