Comments about Apple Mac Pro Desktop Computer (Eight-Core, Late 2013):

It's a lovely-looking speed demon, and a huge step up from my prior (2008) Mac Pro. It's going to be the heart of my music production studio and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it in the capacity.

The downside is that there's no internal expansion for hard drives, cards, etc, which necessitates buying a slew of adapters, cables, enclosures, and the like to hook up common peripherals or import same from older machines. As of this writing there are no USB->Thunderbolt interfaces that I'm aware of, requiring use of eSata enclosures or similar indirections. It's nice to have a computer so small and sleek, but that beautiful simplicity goodbye as soon as you start plugging everything into your new machine!
