There really isn't much to get excited about from any filter case, but these from B+W are the best I've seen. They're made of a durable, non-brittle plastic, so they won't break at the slightest provocation as others are known to do. The top does not unscrew, but rather it hinges open and stays attached, so you don't need three hands during quick filter changes. Because they're square, they're especially well suited to polarizing filters that have the little prong on the rotating ring. Just point the prong into one of the corners and the filter fits just fine. By the way, they're the same fine cases that B+W filters come packaged in.

Comments about B+W Plastic Filter Case BH:

This is just a plastic case, which, if that is what you need, this will work. Sold by size, so read description before buying. A bit expensive for what they are - this should be a dollar or two. Another used camera equipment company in the South sells used ones in excel=lent condition for $.... if they have what you want.

Comments about B+W Plastic Filter Case BH:

They aren't cheap for a piece of plastic but B+W makes the best filter cases I ever had.
I just wished they came with the filter sized foam in addition to the base foam.

Used to hold and protect step-up rings.

Would have been nice if provided with the rings instead of having to order it separately.

OK for storing a filter, but if you want to get to it quickly, open easily, use something else because this is hard to open. Would be fine for shipping or storage.

does exactly what it should. provides a safe secure area to store your filters without scratching them. if you want better protection you could probably wrap your filter in a cloth when you put it in this.
