This bag is a bit pricey but, in my opinion, well worth the money. It is comfortable to carry is very well constructed and water resistant. My Sony a6300, 3 prime lenses, charger, extra batteries and other misc. items all fit very neatly.

This is my second Billingham bag quality is top notch, certainly worth the money.
I use this bag for my Panasonic FZ1000 camera, flash, two extra batteries, remote release, and two filters.
Still room for a couple more small items.

great bag for my fuji kit

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag Small (Black with Black Leather Trim):

Great bag. Fits my Fuji Xt1 with 56 lens attached, along with my 23 and 14 kit perfectly. Still have room for sun glasses, ipad mini, wallet and other gadgets. Not too big and not too small a bag. Very comfortable to carry all day long.

Exceptional and stylish bag

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag Small (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

This is the perfect size for my stuff when I want to travel light.
I have a x100T I fit and it takes less than half the space. In the pockets I can put my keys and wallet and even a novel in the main compartment with my camera.
It is extremely stylish which I love and I'm very impressed with the quality.

It can also fit my 6d with either a 16-35 or a 50 1.2 with a bit of space left. But I'm transitioning into a smaller system so this bag will be great.

Since it is waterproof I don't have to worry about it getting wet inside. I think this bag is well worth the price.

Just what I needed for my Trip

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag Small (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

I bought the Hadley to take on a trip to Washington, DC and it was perfect. My Sony fixed lens camera and flash fit nicely in the bag along with a some extras like personal items. I chose the black with tan because I knew it would like nice with my black coat and it did. I also have this same bag in tan and the medium in tan. The Hadley suits my needs perfectly for travel or shooting birthday parties or other events.

Worth the price

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag Small (Black with Black Leather Trim):

I wanted a smaller bag, not backpack, to hold my Sony A7ii with 2 prime lens, and a wide angle zoom or 26-70mm zoom attached. Did not want a wide or deep bag that would stick out like my full frame camera bags. The Hadley small fits the bill, and is very well made, and less noticeable in all black.
Highly recommended, and get a shoulder pad.
May still get the L2 for a wider, more usable space, but won't be able to keep the zooms attached with lens hood.

Fabulous but small

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag Small (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

I use this product with the Leica M system. It works great with one M body with lens + lens and one extra lens. It even fits my iPad mini in the back. It does not however hold two lenses for a classic 3 lens kit, unless you change to the smallest lens (35 mm cron) after each shoot. It you leave a 24mm or 75mm on the camera it only holds one additional lens.

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag Small (Black with Black Leather Trim):

I bought the Billingham Hadley small for an M mount camera system. I was really after something small and mobile, after lugging around a DSLR system, and the Hadley small / M mount system fits the bill perfectly.

I wanted to buy a Billingham Hadley bag as I already use a Hadley large for my film Hasselblad and was very pleased with its capacity, usability, comfort and durability. In spite of the price, I think the Billingham Hadleys are good value for money.

The Hadley small is a great size for an M mount camera and a couple of lenses. What I didn't fully appreciate, though, is that I also need the pockets to carry some basic accoutrements such as sunglass case et cetera and the Hadley small pockets are just a little too tight for some larger items. So, a great size for the camera but just a little too tight for anything more, and that can be a pain when you want to be out and about with hands free.

It's a great bag, though, and of terrific quality. I'm going to persevere with it as I should probably force myself to fit within the available volume. In my view, that might enforce some discipline and help me travel light and happily. I just need to figure out how to jam those sunnies in...

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag Small (Black with Black Leather Trim):

I use it for my Leica M9 system: M9 body, 35mm Lux, 50mm Cron, 18mm Super-Elmar with 18mm Zeiss viewfinder, and 90mm APO. When I ordered this bag, I was worrying it might too small for the whole set. However, when I received the bag, I can easily load everything into it: 35mm Lux attached to the body sitting in the middle, 90mm APO sitting on the left, and all the rest sit to the right with a separator to separate the 50mm and 18mm. I have a small OP/TECH fold-over pouch for the VF so it sits nicely with the 18mm. I can also loaded the two front compartments with extra batteries, SD cards and filters. Perfect!

Perfect if you want a small bag for your kit. This bag holds my Olympus OM-D, 12-40mm f/2.8, 75mm f/1.8, Nissin i-40, and there's still room for a little bit more. Very stylish in a classic way with high quality throughout. After using for a couple weeks, I'm satisfied that no shoulder pad is needed. I looked at other bags and other colors, but I prefer the Billingham all black canvas.

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag Small (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

Been using Billingham bags for over twenty years. The first ones I still have and still look new! This particular size is perfect for me for my Leica T or M if I do not carry much more than camera and small lens, and EVF. It duals as my every day bag too so can carry with me always with my phone, and other bag stuff. The best part is not too heavy. I have tried a couple more trendy leather bags made for the M, but the weight of those plus the camera gear is why I don't use them on a regular basis.

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag Small (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):

This is my first Billingham bag and decided to finally get one with my new Fuji XT1 system. First of all the quality is amazing. Beautiful canvas and leather material. I got the padded shoulder pad which I think is a must. It's all very pricey, but I think after more uses that will be long forgotten. It fits my system: one XT1 body with normal 35mm f1.4 mounted, plus 2 extra lenses: wide 14mm f2.8 and short tele 56mm f1.2. In front pockets hold 3 batteries, charger, flash and filter. There's a little more room left in both main compartment and pockets. The canvas is still tight so I'm not real quick yet of getting things in and out, but I think that will come with more practice. Have not had in in rain yet, so I can not attest to waterproofness, but the top flap wraps around the bottom so beautifully, I "think" you'd have to be out in a pouring rain for quite awhile for anything to get in. I gave it a 4 rather than 5 because getting the straps in front and then upper flap open is really old school and not real quick, but for this kind of bag and look, that's what you should expect. One last small complaint, mentioned before, is that it would be nice ir the upper flap had a handle to grab it quick off the ground.

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag Small (Sage with Tan Leather Trim):

As with all B&H orders, perfect service. This costs a lot more than it would if made in Asia. But I think it's the only thing I have ever owned made in England. I assume employees of Billingham are reasonably paid. So the price is expected. Design and quality of this bag are both superb.

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag Small (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):

I traveled to Chicago with an OM-D camera and a number of lenses for street shooting and carrying additional lenses and accessories in public buildings including The Art Institute of Chicago. I was able to effectively pack the camera body (E-M1) with a 17mm lens attached, and packed 75mm and 25mm (Voightlander) lenses, both of which are on the large side of M4/3 prime lenses. I also packed two spare batteries, extra memory card, lens pen cleaning brush, ball point pen, note cards, microfiber cloth, and phone. If I substituted a 45mm lens for the 75mm, I could also fit polarizing filters for all three lenses. If I absolutely felt I needed it, I could have stuffed a "turkey-baster-style" blower for cleaning lenses, but I left it out. All the items were accessible and the bag didn't get in the way, which is what I wanted. The leather tabs that keep the bag closed were quiet, easy to open and close, and secured the items inside. I didn't have to deal with inclement weather, but the top flap completely covers the top of the bag, so I'm confident the bag would withstand a driving rain without issue. The only feature I wish this bag had is a handle on the top flap. The size forces you to think about what you really need and limit the items you carry with you. If you can work under that constraint, it's an effective and attractive bag. I almost returned the one I purchased when I saw the actual size, but I'm glad I tried it. The other option is the large size, which is still not overly large. I may yet get the larger bag to replace my beloved Domke shoulder bags. The Domkes are incredibly flexible in terms of what you can carry, but it's also easy to bring more than you really need and the Velcro closures are problematic in some situations.

It is by far the best looking & best constructed bag I have ever had or seen. I anticipate many years of enjoyable & functional use with it.

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag Small (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):

This is a fantastic bag for a mirrorless or micro 4/3 body (I have a Fuji X-E1) with a lens attached (35mm) and two other lenses, spare batteries, filters and an iPad mini or similar small tablet. It is small, so if you have a DSLR you'll be able to get a consumer model and zoom lens attached in there but I can just get my Cannon 5D with the 17mm-40mm in there. Any larger zoom will not work attached. Primes have not been a problem. What is really great about this bag is its versatility due to its removable insert. The insert is very well padded to protect your gear. I generally like to have my camera out and ready to shoot. Sometimes I leave the insert in to store the camera but lately I've taken it out and carried the lenses in small neoprene pouches. This allows me to fit a small book and other items in the bag and made it my go to bag. If I want to carry more than just my camera gear (for a hike or overnight stay) the removable insert is small enough to fit into a backpack with room to spare so I can carry other things like my computer, lunch, files, etc....Another great plus about the insert is that it allows me to carry my gear in a non-descript backpack or bag. I love the look of my Billingham and it is plenty sturdy and tough but it looks like a camera bag (even my non-photog friends can pick it out as one) and trekking through the forest with rain and mud everywhere there's no extra room for a jacket. So if I'm shooting in a possibly iffy spot I can do the transformation and all is well. Otherwise it is on my shoulder 99% of the time.Yes, it is pricey, but after countless bags that really only work for gear and hybrids and inserts that are too bulky to be practical I have found the perfect bag and system for my needs. That's what matters in the end and that's why I spent the money and glad I did. This bag will last (unlike the backpack that is falling apart)and, given the prior amount money I've spent on bags, is well worth it.
