I am using these tubes with my Canon 50D, 17-40, 24-105 and my 70-200 2.8 IS. All work well. The fit is snug and trustworthy. I sure wouldn't want my glass to fall off my camera.

Having the 3 tubes for the price of one Canon tube is a huge plus if you plan to use different focal length lenses.

If you are looking to do some inexpensive macro photos, this is definitely the way to go.

Nothing beats having a good Macro Lens for up close and personal shots. However, being on a limited budget for photography, using these tubes helps creating wonderful shots.
One drawback is using too many of them at once. If you are not careful, you will end up with the outer edges of your shot becoming blurry. This is not a factor if you intend to crop the photo, but does cause some focusing issues.

Impressive

Comments about Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG for Canon EOS Lenses:

Only had the tubes for a few hours but I am impressed. I read MANY reviews [ B and H and Adorama reviews]  before purchasing. What I found was that older reviewers complained about poor fit of tubes to camera and tubes to lens. Newer reviewers did not complain about the fit. GLAD  I bought them. They fit nicely to each other, to the camera and to the lens. Electronic connections operate correctly, both focus control and aperture control. I purchased the tubes to photograph film slides. Using a Canon 80D with a Canon 50mm lens and the 12mm and 20mm tubes the slide fills the frame. It is definitely very cool. I feel the tubes are well worth the price.

First and Only extension tube purchases

Comments about Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG for Canon EOS Lenses:

Just starting to get into more macro photography and these tubes work great. My only complaint is when you put multiple tubes together there is some play between them all and the lens. I don't know if this is common with all tubes, this brand, or this set. Overall I am pleased and would choose them again.

Disappointed

Comments about Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG for Canon EOS Lenses:

I am so disappointed in this purchase. I was hoping to use this for client work as well as some personal work. The area of focus using this is so minimal that it is almost not worth it. I'm not sure that I will even use this. I was planning on returning it, but I missed the 30 day mark to process a return. This is the ONLY purchase that Iv'e been disappointed with from B&H.

Comments about Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG for Canon EOS Lenses:

These are fun to play around with and you will learn a lot about lighting.

On the up side, you can get a lot closer to a subject, I have taken photos where I can count the hairs on a spiders leg. AF works, but in a much narrower window than normal (takes some playing around to figure out what it is, (don't stack all of the tubs on at once, start small and work your way out). There is a minimum as well as a maximum distance you can focus when you use this, it can range from a few feet to a fraction of an inch depending on how many you have stacked (best to get close with AF then tweak manually).

On the down side, this product shed small chrome colored flakes when I first got it. I made sure to work them together until it stopped and cleaned everything out with air or brush before mounting it to my camera or lens. It feels sturdy enough but they don't lock up as well as factory lenses do.

In the end, if you are wanting to play with macro, or want to learn about lighting, it is a very economical way to get into it. For me the dust was a huge turn off.

Great for a low end body/lens combo but If you have a more expensive body/lens I would opt for the canon product and not risk contaminating the internals with dust flaking off the mating surfaces. If you want to get into macro, save the money and put it towards a dedicated lens.

I was a bit worried reading other reviews about how some of these would lock or get stuck on the camera or lens but my extensions fit perfectly and go on and off with no problems. They work great and are made with quality.

Comments about Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG for Canon EOS Lenses:

I have played around with them a few times with my Sigma 18-35mm art lens and I'm happy with the results so far. I used them to photograph snowflakes (see attached image) . I'm going to try them with my other lenses and see how they do. They're built well and for the price I can't complain.

Efficiant macro accessory

Comments about Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG for Canon EOS Lenses:

Enables Macro photograpy with non macro lenses. I uses it with my canon 80D camera and got very good results in flowers photograpy. The only comment I have is that mounting it to the camera and to the lense is not smooth and feels like there is a bit of friction. All electric functions e.g. auto focus etc. works well. Shipment was fast. For the Israeli customers note that there might be additional VAT, I paid additional 71 NIS (approx 18$).

Great Build Quality

Comments about Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG for Canon EOS Lenses:

The build quality of this product is really good. I am using with my 100mm L macro. Focus became even more trickier, but with the aid of image stabilization is still suitable for handheld macro shots as long as you have plenty of light. I use an external flash and the results are impressive. Also, it allows me tu use my ef 1.4x II extender and my 100mm L macro as long as any of the extension tubes are in between the lens and the extension tubes, which increases the magnification even more.

Great for Macro work

By Nate

Comments about Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG for Canon EOS Lenses:

When doing extreme closeups (water droplets, etc) the extension tubes are fun to add. I have tried all combinations of these extension tubes on my Canon EF/EFS lenses (18-55mm, 75-300mm, and 60mm macro). For the most part, I find that I reach for the 60mm macro for versatility, the use of the tubes allows for even more extreme closeups. Where I am often able to hand hold my 60mm macro while shooting in natural light with good results, the extension tubes often require a tripod for clear shots (especially if shooting in lower light). I'm happy with the quality and the function of these tubes. Lightweight and easy to use.

Comments about Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG for Canon EOS Lenses:

Using these on Canon EF L lens 70-200 F2.8 with a Canon 1DX Mark II. Wanted to get closer with the 70-200 lens and didn't want to purchase the Canon extension tubes. The tubes work well with this setup. Although the Kenko are not made as well as the Canon product and I feel I need to be careful using them.

Comments about Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG for Canon EOS Lenses:

I was afraid that these tubes would be as badly put together as others I have tried, but the Kenko tubes are pretty rugged, even with my heavy pro lenses. The electronics haven’t failed me yet. I use a Nikon D810 on auto ISO. My pics are great, even hand-held.

Comments about Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG for Canon EOS Lenses:

I buy this one when have one macro lens is tokina 100mm 2.8 for my canon. The reason i buy this tube is because sometime i feel like my macro lens is not anough for me to look closer to the small world that I never now. But with this tube and my macro lens, there will be alot of fun to try them both at the same time.
