Comments about Sigma APO Teleconverter 1.4x EX DG for Pentax AF:

I tried it on my Pentax Kx with my Sigma 70-200mm and camera went crazy, everything was flashing, of course no auto focus.
I was able to take pictures but I was afraid it was going to damage my camera so I sent it back for a refund.

It does work but with very few lenses, that I don't have any.
That I discovered in the instructions of the product

Comments about Sigma APO Teleconverter 1.4x EX DG for Pentax AF:

I use this with my 400 Sigma telephoto and it gives me just the extra I wanted. The images are sharp and clear. Works exactly as advertised unlike my other teleconverter. I couldn't be happier with the product.

        incompatible with Pentax 55-300

Comments about Sigma APO Teleconverter 1.4x EX DG for Pentax AF:

Three stars was my only possible choice because this type of converter is structurally incompatible with this type of lens, so I could neither approve of it nor disapprove of it. The teleconverter's front element is essentially flush with its lens mount plane, and the rear unmovable element of the lens is flush with the rear of the lens's mounting plane.

Comments about Sigma APO Teleconverter 1.4x EX DG for Pentax AF:

The focus, like all that I have purchased from Sigma, is awesome. I am using it in combination with a 70/200 mm.

It was my first purchase experience with B&H. Wonderful! I am more than happy.

Comments about Sigma APO Teleconverter 1.4x EX DG for Pentax AF:

          Could not use.

Would not work with my new Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 DX II HSM lens on my Pentax K10D. Very dissappointed especially to the fact that this is not a well advertised or know fact.

Had to return and hope someday Sigma accomodates this issue to apease us Pentaxians. Gotta love being a minority. So much for converting a very good 70-200mm f2.8 lens.

Weak Connection between camera and lense

Comments about Sigma APO Teleconverter 1.4x EX DG for Pentax AF:

Generally product works, but there are times when the focus motor will hang up and also there are times when the camera will not recognize the lens (and f4 100-300mm Sigma) and I get the F- symbol. I then have to move the connections around to get a good mate.

Comments about Sigma APO Teleconverter 1.4x EX DG for Pentax AF:

I’m using it with Sigma 70-200, f 2.8; up to now for shooting animals/ birds in a Zoo. The result in my opinion is superb with both film (Pentax MZs) and digital (Pentax K20D).
The great surprise using it for the first time is that you don’t fill having changed your original lens, not event the viewfinder’s light; but the increased enlargement is there!
I haven’t found anything wrong with it yet…
