This bag is big enough to carry all this stuff : canon 5D mkII, canon 70-200 f2.8 IS + 1.4X, canon 50 f1.2, canon 24 f1.4, canon 24-70 f2.8 mkII, canon 100 f2.8 IS macro, canon Speedlite 430EX, extra battery with charger, 4 filters, 3 CF cards, macbook air.

The quality is great. When the bag is fully loaded, the strap is uncomfortable. You will need the shoulder pad (SP-20) if you expect to carry the bag for a long period. You can remove the insert (with all the stock inside) to use the bag to carry other things than camera gear.

The price is higher than the majority of camera bag, but you will have much more than the others.

I am a Pro user, wanted a more attractive bag which I thought might initially impress or attract new clients. The bag is attrctive, well made, and sized well, but has one major defect: the leather closures on the top flap are not very secure, and easily opened, unlike the locking plastic closure on the better LowePro, Tamrac, etc. bags. I can't take the chance of a lens or body falling out of a partially open, or open bag, and and often in industrial ( factories, showrooms, outdoor sites)locations where the bag gets bounced around and secure closures are essential.

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag, Large (Sage with Chocolate Leather Trim):

I needed a bag which would carry a couple mirrorless cameras, 3 lenses, a smaller strobe, a laptop and all kinds of accessories. It also needed to look good and fit under the airplane seat. This is it.

Fantastic travel bag!

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag, Large (Sage with Tan Leather Trim):

The Hadley Large in sage with tan leather trim was my first Billingham bag. Four years ago, I sold off all my Canon pro DSLR great and
"L" glass and switched to Fuji-X bodies and Fuji XF lenses. I was looking for a smaller, lighter bag to carry my Fuji gear and MacBook air AND iPad on my 1-2 week travel vacations.
At first I hesitated looking at Billingham due to cost, but after reading the glowing reviews for all models of Billingham bags including reviewer who owned their bags for 10-20 years, I took the plunge.
The bag is spacious, comfortable to carry all day, water resistant without a "raincoat", quiet and is stealthy. After decades of velcro closures on various makes of bags, I really love the quiet leather and brass post enclosure system. Simply brilliant!
Since purchasing this bag 2 years ago, it has carried my FujiX bodies and lens to China, Japan, several countries in western Europe, Morocco and, just this week, Iceland. The bag was exposed to extreme weather including heat, cold, snow and rain without a hitch. It still looks great and has become more comfortable as it has softened with wear.
This bag holds a lot. I just got back from a week in Iceland. The bag was loaded with my Fuji X-Pro2, X-T2, 10-24mm f4, 23mm f2, 35mm f2, 50mm f2 and 55-200mm Fuji lenses, Lee 100mm filters and adapter, and 9" iPad Pro.
I love my Billingham Hadley Large so much that I have since purchased the smaller Hadley Pro (Fibernyte sage and tan trim) and the f1.4 bag (Fibernyte Khaki and chocolate trim). I use them for different capacities, but the Hadley Large is my bag of choice for longer trips.
The unique Fibernyte material is waterproof and lighter and more flexible than than the traditional canvas material used by Billingham for other bags.
I included a photo showing my older Fuji gear used on my first trip.
The way my Billingham bags are constructed, I am certain that they will be part of my children's inheritance. :)
Highly recommended!!!

Can hold my D810 with 24-85VR, 70-200/4 (with TC1.4), and either 16-35/VR or two primes (28/1.8 and/or 20/1.8 and/or 14/2.8) and one more small-medium prime, Plus spare batteries, cards, phone and glasses. I can use the RRS L-Bracket on the D810, but it's a bit tight.

I don't miss the handle on top and the bag looks and feels smaller without it. (vs a smaller Hadley).

The more I use the tab closures on the Billingham bags, the better I like them. The hold tight, are easy to use and quiet. The bags is waterproof without other bags to carry.

They should provide the shoulder pad.

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag, Large (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):

I have used this bag for over 20 years, and it's just now beginning to look a bit worn. It is lightweight, has successfully seen my SLRs through the heaviest rainstorms, served as a travel bag and camera bag combination, stays relatively clean but has been successfully hand-washed to eliminate the dirt that any fabric bag might pick up on a smooth surface. Nothing I've tried of this approximate size holds as much as comfortably. Many smaller "mirrorless" bags won't easily handle my Black Rapid strap.

The bag's strap is long, wide and sturdy, and the buckles make it appear difficult to open by a pickpocket, while in reality, all it requires is pulling the straps off their pins.

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag, Large (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

The Billingham Hadley Large is a medium sized bag, but holds a lot. I squeezed: a Nikon D3300 camera, a Nikon 35mm prime lens, a Nikon 18-55mm VRII Zoom lens, a non VR Nikon 55-200mm zoom lens, a Rokinon 85mm T1.5 Cine prime lens, and a Rokinon 500mm prime 'mirror' lens, and T-Mount, into the bag...along with a host of: batteries (AA, AAA, and EN-EL-14a), lens caps, pens, a small flashlight, a battery charger, a lens cleaning kit, my D3300 owner's manual, my iPad Mini (in a keyboard case), a pocket notebook, an 8.5x11" Mead notebook, a set of filters, in.

I also managed to get: an eyepiece cap, a WU-1a wireless adaptor, a Nikon SB-300 tilt head speed-light flash, several SD-XC memory cards, and cases, and a small Opteka soft box for the flash into the bag. I think there may even be enough room left over for the Sigma 70-300mm APO DG Macro zoom lens I will be getting next month. The bag is soft, and so deforms a bit to spread wide enough to handle it all, yet it closes tightly enough to keep rain out. That is useful in Oregon.

Of course, it weighs a bit, fully loaded, but that is the gear, not the bag. I will be getting the optional accessory SP-50 shoulder pad for the shoulder strap, to ease the load a bit. I love the bag, and have no complaints, though it could use more small pockets, inside the lid, for memory cards, and such. This was money well spent. I highly recommend it...unless one of the other Billingham bags would serve you better. The Hadley Pro is smaller, but there are larger bags available, too. The Billingham Hadley Large serves my needs admirably, and B&H sold it to me at a bargain price...what other sources were selling smaller bags in this line for. It was just what a tight budget buyer like me needed.

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag, Large (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):

I got this bag to replace my damaged Hadley Original (freak accident that ripped the canvas). The Original was the perfect bag for me, capable of comfortably carrying my Nikon w/ 3 primes (1 mounted), various supplies, and house keys/wallet. It was about as large as one would want for a functional street bag. It offered easy access, conformed to my back/hip sufficiently, and wasn't too heavy (I never loaded it to the max). The newer Hadley Large nearly matches Original in all of these aspects, but because it's a bit larger overall, it pushes the limits of comfort and easy access. Having been used to the smaller Original, getting used to working with this bag took some time. I wish Billingham still produced the Original. I know the Pro is closest in dimension with the Original, but the handle on the Pro rules it out for me. I find it just gets in the way and it doesn't seem to fit the styling like the handles of the 5 Series.

Overall, this bag is a Billingham, and so oozes with quality and style. If I could rate it 4.5/5 I would, solely because it's a tad too large for my street photography needs.

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag, Large (Sage with Tan Leather Trim):

I have lusted after a Billingham bag for years. I finally took the plunge and bought the Hadley Large in sage with tan leather trim for my new Fuji X E-X1, X100S and lenses.

You give up the multitude of pockets, zippers and pouches of the typical photo bag, but in return you get a very lightweight, sharp looking and stealthy bag that doesn't scream "Expensive photo gear inside".

Empty the bag is super light and can hold a lot of stuff. I can also carry my iPad or Macbook Air 13" by sliding it in between the photo gear insert and the inside of the bag.

            I love it!

            Cheers.

Im an amateur user but really love to look put together and with a normal "camera bag" I wasnt happy, always switching bags. This bag I have had about a year and it is still great. I carry it literally everyday. Days where im out Ill have the camera insert in and take pictures. Other days Ill take the insert out, put a padded sleeve for my 15" macbook and carry that. Ipad mini fits perfectly in the front pockets for the photo outings. I would recommend the shoulder pad, the bag never falls off my shoulder. Ive been in many rain storms with the bag and never leaked. I cant tell you how much I love this bag. Only complaint is that I would love a top handle, possibly a zip pouch. Next bag will be a hadley pro when I get a smaller laptop. Ill always have this bag. it was definitely worth the high price tag.

The overal design of the bag looks very nice and I can even fit my 15" Mac with retina in it. Although sometimes when I don't have my laptop in it, I wish it would be smaller. Given the price tag, I was first hesitant to buy it, but I thought I could always return it later if I'm not pleased with the bag. However, after I got the bag, it was too hard to resist. I believe if you have the money, go for it!

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag, Large (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

This is a solid, stylish, and functional bag. The material is heavy and of a fine water repellent weave.

I have wanted a bag which does not look like a camera bag for small location shoots and travel where I need both camera and laptop computer. I can fit my 13" MacBook Pro snugly in the back inside divider. I can place my Nikon D200 with a sizable 24-85mm lens on the left, I had an open space in the middle which could fit a large flash, and stacked two lenses on the right. The front pouches held a fair amount of objects: charger and cord, polarizing filter, memory cards, etc. I can put a large paperback book in the other pouch.

The only thing that one might consider lacking are dividers or small pouches in the front pockets for easy organizing of small objects like memory cards. With all of this gear I would recommend adding the shoulder pad for comfort when the bag is heavily laden.

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag, Large (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):

First I was't so sure about the size of this big. I was looking for a walk-around bag, a bag that can fit one DSLR nicely and sometime one lens. This bag did its job really well. When I just got the bag, it is much bigger than I expected, but just the size I need. (I am quite bulk, so a tiny small back on me will be really really weird) It fit my 5D Mark III with 24-105 (without hood) nicely. Vertically insert the camera w/ lens, still gives a plenty of space. Probably can fit another Fuji X100/X Pro1 on top of that. Beside the camera, there are still spaces from other 2 lanes/flash. 70-200 F2.8L II(without hood) will fit just fine. So I guess a 24-70 will also fit as well. It is really well-made overall, when you get the bag, you will know what you paid for. The feel of the material just better, it's water resistance , and the top cover is well covered to protect your gear from any weather that you normally expect. And it is looking nicely too. (Can't say stylish, but people can't tell it's a camera bag)However, Larger size might be a little too big for mirror-less or rangefinder photographers, the Pro and the Small should fits pretty well.

Comments about Hadley Shoulder Bag, Large (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

I am a Pro user, wanted a more attractive bag which I thought might initially impress or attract new clients. The bag is attrctive, well made, and sized well, but has one major defect: the leather closures on the top flap are not very secure, and easily opened, unlike the locking plastic closure on the better LowePro, Tamrac, etc. bags. I can't take the chance of a lens or body falling out of a partially open, or open bag, and and often in industrial ( factories, showrooms, outdoor sites)locations where the bag gets bounced around and secure closures are essential.
