I've only used this backpack for a few days, but I can already tell I'm going to get a lot of use out of it.

There are a few different reasons I needed a bag like this. First, I work as a Camera Assistant on TV/video shoots, and this bag has more than enough room for any camera accessories I would need, including: batteries, spare lenses, tapes, monitors, etc. It even fits my DVX100 with no problem.

My secondary use for this backpack is carrying around a DSLR kit with extra lenses and a laptop, all of which fits with more than enough room to spare. I can even add in an external hard-drive amongst other things.

It's pretty much at the upper limit of airline specified sizes for carry-on luggage, so it shouldn't be a problem for air travel, although I haven't tried this yet. Also, the first day I worked with it we were stuck out in the rain, but the pull-out rain cover kept this bag dry with no problem.

I have purchased this backpack for my Canon 5D mark III camera and lens so I can carry all my babies in one location when I travel. Size of the backpack is really great and good to carry things around but dividers are not strong/firm enough for travelling.

It could have been better backpack it the dividers are stronger.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Runner 450 AW Backpack:

It's a big pack but it holds all my stuff. I use it for out of town photo shoot. I love that it holds my 15" laptop. It "just" fits in the overhead compartment on a plain. I like the carrying handle on the side, very convenient

Comments about Lowepro Pro Runner 450 AW Backpack:

I've been accumulating camera gear and needed a single place to keep it that would be able to be used as a carry-on on the plane as well. This pack is perfect!

Holds a Nikon D7100 with an attached Nikon 200-500 with the sun shade reversed. Ample room for extra lenses / chargers / ... Great zippered areas for batteries and misc. gear. Nice , easily accessible laptop compartment.

Maybe the best feature is the tremendous technical attributes of the shoulder straps / lumbar support. This is a TECHNICAL PACK, not just a storage container with straps for your arms.

Another Great Lowepro Bag!

Comments about Lowepro Pro Runner 450 AW Backpack:

I actually bought this bag to be used as an emergency over-night bag for bad weather, etc. I t is all weather, so I can keep the bag and contents dry and it is big enough to store what I need in it without being too big and bulky. The bag is sturdy and comfortable, although I wish the waist straps were removable, but they can be tucked away. Loads of storage, and lives up to the usual Lowepro quality.
This is the 6th Lowepro bag I have bought (the rest are used for photography) and perhaps this might be used that way as well some day, but for now, it's perfect for what I need.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Runner 450 AW Backpack:

I bought this bag because I needed something to carry all my gear to hike with to the hawk banding station I go to every fall. Its much easier to carry and more comfortable than the shoulder bag I had before. I can even put a Sibley field guide in it which I couldn't do with the other bag.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Runner 450 AW Backpack:

I have SO many bags. This is my new primary bag. My favorite bag so far has been Think Tanks International Roller. But this is right there with that. But much less. I'm currently using a Sony A7r system. Also sometime 5d3.
I just got back from a week long commercial job in LA area. I could easily carry everything I need and more.

In this bag I carried the following:
    2 - A7R2
    55mm
    85mm batis
    70-200mm
    24-70mm Sony
    24-70mm 2.8 Canon
    15mm Voitlander
    18 Batteries
    macro tubs
    2 - HD's
    5 - radio slaves
    15" Macbook Pro
power cords, USB cords, HDMI cords
    chargers
    and more....

Everything fits nice and carry's well.
The laptop against the back is better than the other designs I've used.

Super good bag. Especially for the price.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Runner 450 AW Backpack:

Great purchase, great camera bag. Fits my Panasonic HPX-170 setup, while still having plenty of room for accessories and basically anything I want in that bag. I feel that this bag secures my setup, not only does it protect the gear it protects my back with Lowepro's great comfort system, great gel supports on the back and shoulders. Can't forget that rain cover! I fully recommend the Lowepro Pro Runner 450W. Best bang for your buck if you have a hefty setup like I do. Gotta love B&H for making it happen with the quality products.

I have replaced my camera tree time and still have this as my everyday backpack. great storadge for laptop.

Love the backpack just wish it wasn't so big. I won't be carrying it on my back the bag engulfs my whole body , plus it does have some weight to it. I didn't return it because Im going to use it to keep all my photography equipment in. But I still need a backpack ...... one a little bit smaller than the 450 AW.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Runner 450 AW Backpack:

This is a large storage backpack for gear that is not intended for "outdoor hikes" but rather transport of gear from your car to the shoot. The shoulder pads and hip belt are thick & comfortable. The zippers are large and have a good feel. The inside of the bag is very customizable to all sorts of bodies and lenses. When filled, the bag will be quite heavy. For mutli-day back county treks other packs would be better suited. For my urban transport duties, this works great!

This bag has plenty of room. I could put my 200 to 400 F4 in there and still get two bodies more lenses and flashes in. That's a lot of weight, but when you put it on your back you don't feel it.
