Sometimes you get more than you pay for. I do a lot of wildlife photography with some large glass ( Nikon 200-500 & Nikon 400mm 3.5 AIS with 1.4 converter ) and trying to steady these lenses without a monopod gets real hard-real fast. This is my 2-nd ACM-1400, nothing was ever wrong with the first, I just misplaced it. It's lightweight but has always holds these 2 lenses firmly & is easy to adjust on the fly. Great value at a reasonable price.

I'm a professional videographer and I use this for outdoor photography with a Nikon D750. I love it. I like that I can throw the camera over my shoulder when hiking. It also helps steady the camera. I seriously suggest that you buy this product. Good shooting everyone.

I had many years ago bought a cheap tripod, this year I decided to upgrade. Buying this tripod was a great choice. A sturdy built tripod, great height, and holds a camera with a heavy lens. Great price to

What's not to like?

Comments about Oben ACM-1400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod:

A Monopod is a pretty low tech device. What is important to me is that it is sturdy, the locks on the leg sections are secure and easy to use, it holds the head or your camera securely, and that it collapses small enough for easy travel. It is a plus that it has a reversing screw for mounting both 1/4" and 3/8" heads. This monopod checks all of these boxes at a price that is hard to beat.

What can you say about a monopod? It does exactly what it supposed to do and does a good job.

Comments about Oben ACM-1400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod:

I've climbed Mt Tammany (Delaware Water Gap) on a very rocky trail using this as a walking stick, and also as a monopod to take pictures along the way and from the top of the mountain. It was easy to reverse the screw on top to add a ball head. My only issue was that the strap is a bit to long to hang on while using the grip (it was a very rough trail). Good value for an excellent multi-use tool.

Comments about Oben ACM-1400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod:

Lighter than the inexpensive Manfrotto I bought a few years ago. Feels 1-2 inches shorter, but at 6' 1", it is still quite comfortable when shooting while standing. Hopefully, I won't lose this one.

Not suitable for video

Comments about Oben ACM-1400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod:

I bought this product to use instead of my heavy tripod when moving around a lot while shooting. I would not recommend it for video as it's not stable and it moves around quite a bit. From reading the reviews, I gather that I was recommended the wrong product for what I was looking to achieve. It seems like a good option for photos as its quite light and easy to handle.

Comments about Oben ACM-1400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod:

Easy to use, light-weight, extremely portable. A little disappointed it didn't come WITH an adapter. The threading didn't fit either my camera or camcorder, so I had to by an adapter. Otherwise, great unit.

Comments about Oben ACM-1400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod:

After purchasing a Tamron SP 150-600mm lens, a little hefty, I found this monopod quite useful in supporting my camera and lens when needing to hold it ready for periods of time. Seems to work well and I'm pleased with it so far. The only thing I think it could have had that it doesn't is adjustable clamps like my Oben tripod legs for when it wears over time. I also purchased a head for it that only pivots in one axis. A ball type head may have been a better choice if using for following action.

Comments about Oben ACM-1400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod:

The ACM-1400 Oben monopod does a dandy job of supporting the load of my Nikon D-7100 and 500mm lens. That combined weight is just over 6 lbs and it does get tiring holding it on a distant subject after a while. The monopod provides great stability for steady zoomed in shots. You can easily pick up the camera to track a subject with the monopod still attached. That's how I caught the attached image of the Bald Eagle bringing home the groceries.
The unexpected benefit of this monopod is that you can throw it over your shoulder with the camera attached (like an ax) making the camera a lot easier to carry. The only thing that disappointed me was the tag on the monopod stated that the clamp tension could be adjusted with a small screw on each clamp lever. Mine has no such adjustment, 4 stars not 5.
