I bought this for use with my Rebel XT (350D) and it's been great. When mounted on a tripod, this remote helps completely get ride of any camera shake, even that caused by simply pressing the on camera shutter button. So far I've used it to shoot models, cars, and scenery and it's paid for itself. Great remote for the money.

Cable is just the right length. Multi-function button is perfect to get AE/AF lock and then take the picture.

Only down side is I always reach for the wrong part of the remote - they put the button on the side where the wire comes out so that when it dangles from your camera, the button is already on top; but I always try to correct for where I think the button should be (so by making it more ergonomic they made it seem backwards). I should get used to this over time though.

I prefer this to my wireless RC-1 which only gets use for self portrait work.

This is a great, inexpensive, bare-bones shutter release. The chief drawback is the tiny cable, which makes this virtually useless for self portraits or anything else that requires you to be more than a foot away from your camera. However, if you are looking for something that simply mimics your shutter button and allows you to A) take photos without camera shake and B) hold your shutter open for long exposures, this is fantastic.

A must have for your camera bag!

Comments about Canon RS-60E3 Remote Switch:

This remote switch is the digital version of the old cable release. For long exposure shots, as well as on tripod work it is an indispensable item. Add the strain relief from Velo to take out all possibility of tight cable shake, and you are all set. Excellent item and very reasonably priced.

I used this remote switch on my Canon Rebel T6S and fell in love it. It worked great. It's light weight and has a good cable length. It's a great purchase for the price. I would recommend this product.

Works on Canon 1100D

By Hoof Arted

Comments about Canon RS-60E3 Remote Switch:

This switch is simple, basic and works on my Canon 1100D. Like some previous reviewers, I also had to get used to how the switch feels backwards in my hand when using it and did (one time) accidentally lock it open when I didn't intend to. I've been using it for night shots and getting photos of lightning with the bulb function on my camera. As a non-pro who takes a lot of photos I'm having a lot of fun experimenting with it. B&H came through with quick delivery, too. If I lose or break this switch I'll replace it.

Works great!

Comments about Canon RS-60E3 Remote Switch:

Works exactly as claimed by Canon and B&H. Helps me, an amateur, squeeze the best from my camera in low light and/or with shots requiring sharp focus when I can't hold my camera still enough by hand. Much more practical and dependable than my wireless remotes that seem to always have battery failure.
Good price, fast and secure shipping from B&H. Thanks much.

Amazing remote!

Comments about Canon RS-60E3 Remote Switch:

I bought this remote and I couldn't be happier. The length of the cord is kind of short so if you're planning to buy a remote for self portraits, etc., it would be smart to also buy a wireless shutter release remote. I have both a wireless and wired remote which is the perfect set up for all my needs.

This thing is perfect for longer exposure times and not having to touch the camera. The 2' cable could be a little longer, but that was not enough to take it down to 4 stars for me.
