I bought this double sling after looking at the Black Rapid double sling. I did not like the BR fastening to the tripod mount for several reasons, including the fact I would lose my tripod mount, but primarily because I do not think this is the proper place to carry a camera from as it is not designed for that. Plus, I could buy 4 of the OpTechs for the price of one Black Rapid, and I think the OpTech is more comfortable and quite a bit lighter. Another good point is that I can unbuckle the sling parts and use them individually on my OpTech Pro strap pads, making the standard Pro straps into 2 Pro Sling straps! A very cool thing in my opinion. My original OpTech Pro strap is over 30 years old and still works as good as it did when I bought it, a testament to their build quality when you know how much I have put them through!

The guy in the demo video is very big in size as contrary to me. As a 187 cm tall and 70 kg weight i try to use it with nikon d800+grip with 24-70 2.8 on the right and the d810 with no grip an the 85 1.8g on the left. I think that because of my body structure when im using the left lighter side all the right side and the weight it has make the all system to lean to the right and make the all setup fall down and thus uncomfortable. I think it is best for a light camera/lens combo on both sides and for larger peaople. It lacks the sternum straps on the back and front like in the blackrapid and if it had it that would make it a winner.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Double Sling (Black):

I have used the Double Sling for two weddings now and would be lost without it! It performed beautifully and enabled me to alternate cameras when needed. The weight is evenly distributed and the straps do not pinch ever. Great product and I highly recommend it.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Double Sling (Black):

I'm shooting baseball at Spring Training and using two cameras. The straps I was using wasn't working very well. The Op Tech double sling is the solution I needed. Very pleased with the way it works. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to shoot with 2 cameras.

Way too long for this short girl

Comments about OP/TECH USA Double Sling (Black):

I really wanted to like this sling.  I LOVE Op/Tech camera straps, as they are really comfortable, don't slip, and are high quality.  They're also made in the USA.  The issue for me with this harness is that it hung so low on me that the bodies were hitting my legs when I walked, since they were hanging at thigh level.  If I adjusted the straps shorter, the camera hung in front of me, but the strap in the back just gaped out and the harness wasn't able to distribute the weight evenly.

Also, if you don't have a grip, you can either attach the camera with one clip only, or use both but have the straps between your face and the camera body, which I found irritating.  Using one connection only does make the camera hand a little lower.  My 70-200 was ending up just above my knee!

If you are 5'4" or more, this would probably be fine length-wise.  If you are a guy, it will be fine.  If you are below 5' 4", I would look at a harness that comes in smaller sizes.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Double Sling (Black):

I used the double sling for an event I was shooting. I knew that I would be using two cameras for a few hours and wanted something that would be easy to use and comfortable. I wore this for 4 hours with two cameras and a flash on each camera and was very glad I purchased this. My back never ached and it was easy to use - I think the only thing I would say is at first when you are getting used to it - it seems to "slip" when you would lift one of the cameras. But I readjusted how I was wearing it and never had a problem again!

Comments about OP/TECH USA Double Sling (Black):

I've used a BR strap for years and wanted something a little different. Op/Tech fit the bill. It utilizes the original strap mounts instead of the tripod mount. I like that. It puts the strain where it was designed to be.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Double Sling (Black):

Very adjustable length. Two connectors on each side, but I only use one on each side: binocs on the right, and DSLR on the left. Some type of snap-on connectors would be better than the loop-type, for easier changes between optics. I added a "Biker Elastic Boot Strap" across my chest to stabilize the two loads.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Double Sling (Black):

Not a good design. The two cameras have to stay clipped ALL the times. If you unclip one of them for shooting, the hard unbalancing occurs, the remaining clipped camera will slip down, very uncomfortatble.

I prefer the other sling, the Utility Sling™ - Duo. At least, with this one, the camera still stays on your shoulders even you remove one of them.

It is very comfortable. Price is reasonable. Only issue I have with it is if you have both connections hooked up to the camera the straps get in the way when you bring it up to shoot. I just use one unless I'm walking around then I will use both.

Since I have all Op/Tech straps on my cameras, this Double Sling works well. I'm very pleased. Having 2 cameras around my neck isn't a chore for me anymore.
In fact it feels better than just having 1 camera.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Double Sling (Black):

The double sling from OP/TECH is a great product. Well made, with easy attachment points, this sling allows you to have 2 cameras at the ready at all times while keeping the ability to use your hands when needed. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars was what appears to have been an oversight in the design - a chest strap to keep the sling secure to the shooter. I have seen other reviews which cited the same thing so I can't say I didn't know before the purchase, and it has not proven to be a deal breaker for using it, just an improvement for future iterations.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Double Sling (Black):

So far, so good. I didn't give it 5 stars since the left/right male/female orientation of the snaps don't account for left/right camera position. I have OP/TECH neck straps for both cameras with the same left/right male/female positions. The left camera connections for this sling are correct. The right camera connections should be reversed to keep the cameras in the same orientation. Pretty minor but you can't change the positions since the straps are sewn. I used two of the included connections to create a sternum strap to make it feel more secure.

I use the single OP/TECH sling most of the time with one camera, so the double sling is perfect for when I want to carry two cameras. Uses the same attachments as the single sling, making it easy to switch. Great product.

I tried this set-up, but it is just not for me. I give it three stars for good quality components, but to me the whole set-up is just utterly uncomfortable and I don't like how the cameras just dangle and bounce there on the sides. I'm back to the good old camera straps that were supplied with the cameras.

I often carry two cameras (one with a wide angle and one with a telephoto). I have tried several products and systems for doing this. I am aware of the quality of OP/Tech products as I own others. The double sling carries two cameras in a position that makes them quickly and easily accessible while at the same time allowing the user to wear them for long periods without suffering discomfort. The sling is well made, easy to operate and very modestly priced, especially when compared with products from other companies that cost almost four times as much.
