From the product photos I was hoping for a more solid sided bag. This is not what I received. This is more of a canvas duffle bag with some foam dividers. It's fine for what I need; a bag for my light stands, LED panels, reflector, power, batteries and chargers. The three zippered mesh pouches are handy for smaller things and the dividers help keep certain items from getting scratched. For the money, I was expecting a little more robust build.

I was expecting more. The bag isn't terrible I guess, for the price. The wall construction is a bit flimsier than I'd hoped for a bag this size. The walls are prone to collapsing, especially the lid (if you store stuff in the zipper pockets on the inside of the lid). I didn't like the divider arrangement at all. It comes with 2 shorter height dividers, 2 taller height dividers, and one big panel divider. You can only make 3 smaller compartments, so for the bag size, you can't really organize smaller stuff.

The big panel divider effectively creates a false floor, or second entire tier. The problem is the the entire divider has velcro all the way around it, so if you store say your lights in the bottom of the bag, and then have the panel/floor divider on top, and then your light stands on top of everything... you have to remove your light stands, and then unseal the mile of velcro to remove the panel/floor divider to get to the lower level. Really inconvenient.

On top of that, the velcro lining on the bag walls is not attached or sewn to the outer bag walls. So dividers pull the flimsy fabric in with it and aren't really attached to the bag wall. Hard to explain.

Bottom line, I basically removed all of the dividers and use the bag wide open on the inside for stands. In that regard, it's a decent padded duffle bag.

First off... the people that are complaining that the bag is lightweight and they thought it would be more substantial.... well, that's just plain silly. You're buying a lightweight canvas bag that is functional for packing and transporting and storing lighting gear. It's not a hard shell and it's not something you can throw around.

But, if you need something to transport a fair amount of gear that lets you configure and customize the bag, then for the price, this is an excellent bag and does the job just fine.

I've configured this bag to hold 4 of my Elinchrom 600RX lights, several reflectors, speed rings, power cords and assorted doodads and that's fantastic. This means that 2 of these bags lets me more all my lights from studio to studio in an organized way.

If you know what you're buying, you'll be satisfied.

Great product so far!

Purchased this product to hold our company's lighting kit, stands, and microphone equipment all in one place. Lots of space inside for smaller items and customization options to fit larger items. Also a space in the top area of the bag to hold longer items like your lighting stands and tripod.

Love how you can customize the internals. Would easily hold four of the lights I had bought plus all cables. If i had two I would pack my strobes in the other!

This bag is a beast - holds my AB800s, stands, modifiers, and remote triggers with room to spare. Fully loaded - it's not for the faint of heart, but makes the trip effiicient.

Well made but huge with limitations

Comments about Impact Light Kit Bag #2 (34 x 13.5 x 12"):

I bought this but when it came it was much larger than I thought. (Eyes are bigger than stomach type thing.) The dividers weren't very well designed and the hassle to remove the top layer was not really worth it. I decided to send the unit back but UPS said the charge would cost me more than I paid for it originally. A real bummer. Now I'm stuck with it and B&H lost my purchase for what I really need. Beware when buying this particular bag.

Excellent bag for the price - holds 3 or 4monolights/stands

Comments about Impact Light Kit Bag #2 (34 x 13.5 x 12"):

For the price, it is really a 6 star bag, but if you are looking for something with more pro-quality, sturdiness, etc., this may not be the bag that lasts you 5 years.
If you are a serious amateur or you are a pro that is careful with bags and their contents, the bag will work very well for you.
The interior capacity is amazing. I have 3 monolights, 3 power cables, 3 reflectors, an AC power inverter, three umbrella stands and three umbrellas in the bag and there is still room for more.

I have had this bag for about a month now, and it's pretty flimsly. The outer case looks solid, but the material is terrible.  The zippers are very weak, and I have had three of them already break on me with LIGHT use. IT does hold the lights in place, and secures them decently well, but I will be replacing this bag out in my kit. I am afraid any day it could break.

Easily holds two Trek Lite reflectors, strobes, batteries, chargers, stands, and umbrellas. Easy to carry as long as you balance the load. Don't put batteries in the same pocket.
I gave it a 4 star rating because I would like to see thicker padding. I added some 1" foam to bottom and side and am confident it will protect my gear in the back of my truck.

I got this bag for my Genaray Spectroled Essential 360 Bi-Color Led 2-Light Kit With Stands And Accessories. I wanted to be able to fit lights, accessories, and stands all in one bag and this one does the job! It's a bit awkward to carry around but I'm a 5'2" female so this bag seems extra large to me, but I'm able to fit everything I need in here

Very pleased with my purchase! This bag has more than enough room for my equipment. It's a bit heavy with all my things in it, but it gets the job done and is exactly what I was hoping for. I would definitely recommend this to others. I can fit 2 of my lights in one section one in the other (room for another light too) and have an empty section for other pieces like cords. The top is sturdy and holds my light stands and umbrellas which I have 3 of. Can fit more.

Sure, it holds a good amount of stuff, from stands to cables, support, etc. I wouldn't trust it to hold anything fragile, like lights or bulbs.

It has almost zero support and is soft and floppy, with weak walls and almost no inner structure. You could watch it collapse like a wet sponge under pressure with nothing inside.

In other words - if you need something strong or durable, look elsewhere. If you just want a rectangular bag to throw a lot of light gear you don't care about into, it'll be great.
