Very good for keeping handy, and accounted for, a lot of stuff too small to retrieve once out of sight, from the camera batteries that is was meant to contain, to small spare cell batteries, change [never together with those small batteries though, I have four of these on my camera strap], a small note, miniature LED flashlight, keys, security pin, in own case all of the above.
Elastic in size and accommodating, dependable fastener so far, might create addiction, no kidding. Wish it could fit 4 AAs rather than 3, but that would make it pretty bulky at once. Always a tradeoff...

Bought this and the Hakuba Carry Case for Batteries - Black B&H # HACBQ MFR # HK-BCS, which is a 4 star product with a zipper. This unit is only good for say a Fuji X20 battery, to small for a Nikon EN-EL15 battery.

I have been using a SanDisk black pouch that came free with CD memory, with my Fuji X20, it holds a battery and SD card in a case, it has a zipper to make sure they don't fall out, but it has a rope like strap that loops into a key ring. The loop makes me nervous since I share the camera with family members who are not as careful as me.

The Hakuba, has a clip, so if I use that it easier to take it off when I give it to a family member to use. Not thrilled how the Hakuba connects to the clip, but not going to pull it apart to find out how easy it breaks. Very lightweight strap, about equal to the free ScanDisk pouch.

I would not buy this item again, and do not like it so much might return it. Doubt it will ever be used.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Battery Holster (Black):

I like the holster. Placing it on the camera strap feels awkward as the balance for the camera in my hand is pulled to the side where to holster is mounted on the strap. Found a way to mount it on my camera bag where it still easily accessible.

Doesn't fit the D500 EL-15 battery, despite the claims. Not even close.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Battery Holster (Black):

At first I thought that buying a holster was a bit ridiculous, but, actually, I am glad that I spent the small amount for it. It lets me put the camera battery in my pocket with minimal worry, or in my camera bag. NO biggie, but it was nice.

Perfect Way to Keep an Ace Up Your Sleeve

Comments about OP/TECH USA Battery Holster (Black):

I have this smaller camera bag I keep packed and ready to grab - one body, one lens and a 128gb card in the camera. Needless to say the weak link is battery power. I am one of those AR geeks that looses sleep over the thought of battery terminals shorting out. This holster holds one Mirrorless camera battery nicely and attaches to the strap. I was skeptical about the design when I saw it - but after seeing it I realized the design was very clever.

Not quite what I was expecting

Comments about OP/TECH USA Battery Holster (Black):

Very tight fit for a Canon 5D battery and the cover closes on the back which is a bit difficult when on a belt. Also, the belt loop does not open so I cannot attach to my BlackRapid camera strap so need to wear on my belt. It is functional, but just barely for my needs.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Battery Holster (Black):

The quality is good but it's not what I wanted. My battery is very tight fitting. I don't want to have to use 2 hands and struggle getting my battery in and out. I have a small zipper pouch that works for me.

Works well for smaller batteries

Comments about OP/TECH USA Battery Holster (Black):

This holster works well for smaller camera batteries. The batteries of a Panasonic GM5 (m4/3) and Ricoh GR (APS-C) cameras fit nicely, while those of a Nikon D7000 are a snug fit. By using a piece of velcro (e.g., the "System Connectors: Secure-Its" from OpTech) one can attach the holster to various straps and belts. I've attached two semi-permanently to the inside of a LowePro Dashpoint 30 camera pouch, which otherwise has no pockets. This allows me to carry one spare battery, and a small collection of filters, while keeping the outside of the pouch free of protrusions.

Bought several.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Battery Holster (Black):

These holsters easily attach to the camera strap and can hold small items for instant use. I use them to hold 2 CF or SD cards in their plastic cases so that I don't run out of space to shoot "birds-in-flight." My camera (a Canon 1D Mark III) shoots at 10 frames per second and can fill up a 32 Gig card really fast. Having additional memory cards available on the strap makes changing cards fast and easy.

These work great. I attached these to the Op/tech sling strap in order to carry more batteries (Sony A77ii) and after a slight stretch, they fit great. Good product!

Perfect Fit

By Freedive808

from Undisclosed

Comments about OP/TECH USA Battery Holster (Black):

This battery holder fits the Nikon EN-EL15 lithium battery perfectly and has a built-in loop designed so a small strap can be passed through it ensuring a 100% positive mount (e.g. the lower portion of a backpack strap). Note that this also means that you will need to find an alternate method for attaching (e.g. Velcro strap) if you plan to mount to a looped handle or thicker object.
Another note: the plastic cap that comes with the EN-EL15 will not fit into this holder.

The battery holster is attached to the Op/Tech sling/strap. Although it's a tight fit for the Canon 5D battery it does its job.
